Oh yeah... this site is linked off of the BigCee FAQ page. I used this list of comments to buy my first set of tires. The comments are really old. Several years even. It's funny to see all of the differences of opinion change depending on what group of people are riding on a particular time.

For example, you'll read glowing reviews of the IRC GP1's and how grippy they are, good all weather traction etc... but when I first started asking people about them I never got any responses, but rather opinions on other tires instead. Made me wonder where all the people were that were quoted for this particular list. At the time, no one was riding them. Everyone was talking about the cheaper knock-off version, Kenda K270, and some comments burried in there about them scared me away.

Mefo's went through the same thing as well. 5 or 6 people will rave about them as if they were the end-all tire, and everyone will want to try them. But there are only 6 user comments on that page. I think price and availability play a huge role in tire selection.

BTW... the IRC GP1's are a great tire, and I would buy again. Very grippy.

When I need new tires, I'll give the Mefo's a try, even though I don't know how they are going to work out with my 18" front rim combo.

I copied the web site and spent several hours trying to get the sentences and paragraphs corrected. When I coppied it it was about 4 pages wide on my PC. IF (mighty big word for two letters) I ever get it finished I'll post it up here. I don't think the author will mind, seeing how he did the same thing.
It has been up-dated in the last year or so, because the link I have/had on my web page sent me to another site. And the mefo's haven't been out too long, ( or available here in the US).
I find it funny that some guys get 10K out of a tire and others get 4K out of the same tire, and how some people like (ever sware by) tires that I wouldn't put on my bike again. I guess that is what makes the world go around.
I have to try the mefo's for my next set of tires, Three guys here on the forum really speak well of them.

My only complaint on the stock tires is the rear dosen't last long enough. If I could get 8-10 K out of the stock rear, that is all I would run on my KLR. Maybe a knobby on my dirt wheel.
