Sorry the cylinder head became one of the casualties when the doohickey failed.

I do have a good cylinder and piston.

How is the head damaged? I can work with bent valves. I need good cams and clean bearing journals.

Bent valves are readily replaceable.

What I meant by 'severe' doohickey failure was a balancer bearing broke after coming in contact with the broken doohickey parts and sent bearing pieces into the top of the head. The spinning camshafts essentially played 'hockey' with those pieces.

The head and cases are no good.

The cylinder and piston survived because nothing came apart inside the combustion chamber.
There is still a lot of good small parts.

I ended up putting the gen2 wheels onto my gen1.

Red Gen2 fuel tank good condition, no dents, few minor scuffs, no deep scratches. NO rust, CLEAN tank. Asking 125 obo plus actual shipping.

Complete Gen2 factory brakes, front and rear. Rotors, calipers, pads, master cylinders, both reservoirs with hoses, levers. Good condition, low miles, lots of life left. Great setup to convert a Gen1 to bigger brakes. Asking 300 SHIPPED, I might use these if none is interested.

Gen2 black front forks complete, good tubes, boots and seals(No leaks). Great overall condition. Asking 250 obo plus actual shipping.

Gen2 black swingarm complete with guides and chain sliders. Caliper bracket, axle adjusters, low miles good bearings, great condition, no scratches or gouging. Asking 175 obo plus actual shipping.

Black Gen 2 frame w/clear title. Asking 350 obo

Decided to part my gen 2 KLR. The bike had a severe doohickey failure. There are still some good engine parts but the cases are no good. The rest of the bike is in good condition.
