I'd still use a dab of blue loctite to be safe.
I think this, or some variation on my Gen 2,will be a winter hack for my bike this year. I’m tired of it taking ten minutes of fidgeting the panels past the Dirtracks, just to get at fuses. And I want it to be tool-less if possible. Got me thinking🤔🤔🤔

Cool kit for the side panels. I’m trying to avoid removing them at all when taking the seat off. I just hate drilling holes in perfectly good panels😉

I did the holes in my gen 1 panels for the seat. About 3/4". Kind of a pain to drill the holes in the exact spot. I always drop the bolts when re-inserting them. Only use one bolt for the seat now.

Yeah I was surprised at how easily the little side panel screws can vibrate loose. I lost one already. Now I go around occasionally to tighten them all up. At least the seat gizmo can be checked by hand, no tool needed.

When I get done with all my farkles and fuel line issues, I'll 'blue' everything

When the gizmos arrive I'll report back re fitment. Mine is the Adventure model. I'm assuming there's enough clearance between the luggage racks and the seat receptacles for the gizmos, just by looking at the 3D site pics but...

I wonder if an eye bolt of the right diameter/thread pitch could be found, a spacer added on the bolt shank, and then you'd have quick-detach seat bolts and some new light-duty tie-down points for cheap?

A multi purpose solution for the ultimate multi purpose bike🤣. I like it!
