Hi Everyone! Just picked up a 2023 KLR 650s. Looking for some riding partners. I currently have Tues,Wed, and Thursdays off. I enjoy riding street and dirt. I am in the Sacramento Area and typically ride up to Auburn, Placerville, Diamond Springs, and EL Dorado area. I would also be open to riding anywhere in the Bay Area or surrounding areas. Let me know if you want to link up and hit some trails!

Welcome!

I recommend you check in at the Member Map thread and make sure you're added to the map.

If you're into group riding, I can recommend both the Adventure Motorcycle Group on Facebook, which runs out of Folsom but does events all over the area, and the Saturday Putt group which runs out of Colfax and posts events on the Norcal Dual Sport Facebook group.

I'm down in Elk Grove and ride periodically with another local form member who I'll let introduce himself. I'm a bankers' hours guy, though, so strictly weekend riding.

If you get a chance, head out to Meiss Rd and Latrobe Rd east of Sacramento. Easy to get to, nothing too difficult (now that the puddles are probably gone), and easy to do in an afternoon.

Welcome to the forum!
Starfury & I have planned a few local riding trips…when time allows for the both of us.
I do most of my riding up in the sierras & know quite a few trails that go all the way to Nevada. Some fairly intense off-road riding, others are more casual.
We will link up soon for an intro ride…if you’re interested. I live in Lodi
Cheers 🍻

As a matter of fact, it looks like Ken just posted a Saturday Putt for this weekend. Ken is a goofball, but a great rider and a good group lead.

I will ad myself to the map. Thanks for the info brother! I will have to check out those groups on Facebook. I know all about Latrobe! I used to take my K5 out there after a good rain and tear it up out there hahaha.

Morning!
Thanks for reaching out, Sounds like a good time! I am up for whatever (intense trails or casual). Let me know what works for you guys! I am from North Carolina and grew up riding in the sticks, mud, and clay. That’s a nice rig setup you got there! First thing I need to do though is grab a good set of crash bars. Any suggestions!?

I’m partial to anything Tusk branded.
Minus their low profile drain plug of course. It’s prone to cracking.
Been very happy with the Tusk CB’s 👍

I'm a few hours away in Reno, but I'd love to meet up if anyone ever makes it this way. Or at least to the tahoe/truckee area.

I wouldn’t mind riding up the hill a bit to meet up!
Uncle Tom's Cabin used to be a nice place to meet. Last time I went out that way the road was paved almost all the way though. I am a long way off now, in FL.

Just bought a house out in sparks with the gf. Hoping to make it a permanent residence in the near future but we try to get up there as much as possible. Good to know!
