I'd encourage you to contact Shinko, and keep us posted on the developments. Due to their low cost, Shinko seems to be selling a lot of tires. The reported failure rate is pretty low, considering the volume of tires they sell. I'd be contacting the phone number given in the above email copy, and follow their lead on resolution, rather than go to the distributor first.RE: Questions regarding warranty

If a tire fails that is not worn out and it appears to be an actual failure of the tire due to workmanship, we will warranty the tire thru the dealer it was originally purchased from. There is no pro-rated warranty like many automotive tires, a replacement is offered at no charge.
This applies to all Shinko motorcycle and scooter tires we sell in the U.S..

Subject: Questions regarding warranty
Hi. I have been using Shinko tires for the last three years. I have questions regarding warranty on these tires. I plan on taking a several thousand mile trip soon, and need to know how Shinko deals with tire failure issues. Can you forward me the warranty information Shinko has on Dual Sport tires?
Thanks in advance
Firstly be aware that you resurrected a thread from 2011. The info may no longer apply.I bought my first motorcycle last year and I had 2 new tires last year to put on. I had them mounted and balanced by the place when I bought them. The back tire has more significant wear than the front. I have had to stop quite fast 2 times twice this year but other than that I have done nothing other than just ride. I have not spun my tires at all as I this is my first motorcycle and I am just getting used to riding and am just getting my confidence. I would like to know if my tire would be covered under warranty? I probably drove around 750 to 1000 miles this year but I cant be for sure because I had to replace my speedometer.
