HI, has any of you in KLR land used this bead breaker (Stop and Go tire Bead Breaker ) ? and what do think of it???
It looks like it might break both beads , as it brings both sides to the center. The KLR being tube type tires it would be harder to get both sides to make the bead after the tire repair ( on the side of the road w/ a small air comp.) , is this a problem with this type of bead breaker? And is there other ones out there that are small and cheap for road side use??
I got a flat away from home and I was very luck a guy on a BMW came by to help, we used his kickstand.

5 1/2 lbs? That's a pretty large item to be dragging along every trip. Tire irons work fine for me to break the bead. I guess it depends on the tire, cause some I hear have tougher beads. I run Mefo's. Getting the tire off is usually pretty simple and pain free. It's getting the tire back on that kicks my ass and makes me use the entire book of foul language for some reason. Maybe I need to get some better irons.
