In my search for an affordable sv 650 donor front left caliper, I came across a Ninja caliper which looks the same. The item numbers are different though. Does Kawasaki and Suzuki use there own numbers ? Prices have doubled on used calipers on ebay. I'm trying to expand my search into other compatible calipers besides what is listed on the "understanding KLR brakes" compendium . For reference, 2002 klr650 with EM 320 rotor/ sv adapter in the mail.

The distance between the Upper mount bolt hole & the Upper slider pin appears to be greater on the Ninja caliper bracket in your pic. Could be the angle of the Ninja pic.

Another clue... This a quote from Ninja forum.

"I didn't, just had that thing bookmarked as a potential project. The brackets shown are for SV650 and since the SV and our bikes have identical calipers I believe it can easily be done. I'm ordering a ninja/versys left caliper. Found one super cheap to try. Part # 43080-0049-DJ applies to a variety of Kawasaki's. One being the KLE650(versys).
