IME, all KLR's like to lie down in the mud regardless of which tires are fitted.
A knobby rear tire simply FILLS the rear fender, shock absorber & swingarm minimal gap faster and causes owners to ABUSE the clutch plates til over-heated/burned up. Best to dig out the mud with gloved hands, remove the muddy gloves to proceed 50 yards further. Repeat or ride in the brush, which has less mud & more traction.
