First, I had a chat with Ewan McGregor who is in town for an Independent Film Festival. No dates set for Long Way Up yet.

And then...got a police motorcycle escort all the way home through traffic at the end of the day....35miles center lane with a cop leading the way make for an easy ride through traffic. Me, four other bikes and the rozzer.

Is there another Long Way planned? Just got my Longway T-shirts in the mail. They send a photo of Ewan & Charlie on their GS. So cool! They also threw in a T for my wife. She said they were flirty on the phone. Just a all around good vibe coming from that camp. I wouldn't mind throwing a few back & chatting with those guys.

Yeah he was cool, I think he was stoked to talk about motorcycles as opposed to movie stuff.

He said, no dates set for Long Way Up but that it ussually takes them about 2-4 years to get the plan dialed in due to movie schedules and other factors.

Ive been meaning to see "Faster" a doc about the Moto GP he narrates on and if you have Netflix check out "Troys Story" a made for TV doc about Troy Bayliss the moto gp racer....

Ewan seems like a likeable guy.
There was also a documentary featuring his pal Charley Boorman and his preparation to get ready for the Dakar with two other team mates. I watched what I could of it on YouTube but could not locate the remaining episodes, was curious if Charley finished the Dakar or not, anyone know?

Faster is an awesome movie from 2003. If you like bike movies the same director Mark Neale also made "The Doctor, The Tornado and the Kentucky kid", you should be able to guess what that one is about. Then he made "Charge" which is all about Motocyz building an electric motorcycle in Portland, Or and taking it to race on the Isle of Mann. His latest movie is Fastest which covers the Doctors recovery from his accident and the MotoGP scene around that season.

All great movies. Our local Ducati shop Motocorsa brought the director to Portland and put on two different nights one for Charge and the other Fastest for free at a local movie theatre :desismiley1: At the end of Charge they showed some extra on bike footage around the island from the 2 electric bikes racing each other.

Forgot to add Ewan narates all the latest ones.
