I just bought new riding gear for the KLR. By far the best I have owned for the money. $140 for the set.

Tourmaster Jett coat and Tourmaster jean pants.

The coat: 600 Carbolex® shell combines with Raingaurd® waterproof/breathable barrier. Zippered chest, sleeve and rear exit vents provide flow-through ventilation. 360° Phoslite® reflective piping and TourMaster's signature reflective rear triangle increase nighttime visibility. Adjustable sleeve take-up straps secure elbow armor. Removable, CE approved armor at the elbow and sholder with an articulated triple density back protector. Warm, 100G polyfil insulated, removable zip-out quilted liner. Zippered chest map pocket, hand warmer pockets, internal pouch pocket and mobile media pocket. Adjustable waist belts, with TPR pulls help fine tune the fit. Zipper to attach to pant.

The pants: 600 Denier Carbolex shell with 1680 Denier Ballistic Polyester knee panels Durable, 1680 Denier Ballistic Polyester seat panel helps to minimize slipping Raingard waterproof/breathable barrier Double-stitched construction Dual clasp waist closure with button anchor & guesseted zipper Rubberized inner waistband keeps undergarments tucked in Dual-stretch panel waistband includes belt loops Two hand pockets with right hand change pocket and two rear zippered pockets Removable, CE-approvved knee armor with TourMaster's exclusive three-position knee armor alignment system Soft hip armor is removable and comfortable Fully lined with a soft, comfortable taffeta material.

I have their intake jacket and really like it...works well in cool to hot weather....am really interested in how your pants work in hot weather????

I also just got their "Solution" road boots...( guy who just completed Continental Divide ride said they were great)...haven't worn them much yet but seem comfortable enough to walk in, are water proof and afford some protection...

Please let us know what you think of the pants....

So far I had shorts on with the pants because it was hot. 80 +.
I would not want to ride 200 miles in 90 deg temp with them but 50-70 deg is perfect.

I have rode in the rain and they provide great protection.

I got them locally at Shadetree powersports here in Ohio. They also have a store in Minnesota. Here is their web sight: www.shadetreepowersports.com
phone: 888-742-3387
Coats go up to 2x and pants to 4x.

Another place to look around for riding gear is www.newenough.com .
I tend to gravitate towards 3/4 length jackets for the extra length and protection, but that's me..

Truth be told, I have WAY too much riding gear. Even more so when you consider that of all the jackets I have, I just keep wearing my old Aerostich Darien jacket, while the other stuff sits in the closet.

I should sell that stuff someday..
