When I lived in California I just used any rain gear that was on sale. I rode there everyday.
Now that I live in the Philippines, I still ride everyday but it's a different story!
We get rain like you would never see in the States. Monsoon type stuff.
It is a real test for raingear!!
The last raingear that I bought was Frogg Togg's. Man, was I not a happy camper. The jacket zipper never did work well from day one and there is hardly any overlap so the rain just comes right on in!
I had a velcrow flap made to stop the rain coming in and that works OK but now the pants leak like a sive. The gear is about a year old.
I did like the material because it was not so hot but the quality sucks.
It is very hot and humid here so what brand do you think I should look at?
I need rain protection but I need it to keep cool also from the heat.
