Locktite is your KLRs best friend ( and a torque wrench )Installed klr dash and removed unreliable bent crashbars in preparation for tusk bars arriving soon. A recent hilly laydown had pushed the bar into the plastic causing a crease that popped out upon removal. Plan on putting t line on the carburator atmosperic pressure air line and tightned lots of bolts that were amazingly loose on a 600 mile machine.
My Low Beam just popped as well 2 weeks ago (cold weather?) and I was shocked to find it’s just a standard automotive H7 Halogen bulb. Bought a brighter version on Amazon. Easy to get to thru the windscreen.OK, so today nothing. I've got a burned out low beam headlight and won't get to town until later in the week (70 mile drive), to pick one up. Sooo....continued working on rebuilding my Mikuni 29MM Smoothbores for a few hours. Haven't had these carbs completely apart since I bought them in June 1980, and they are in dire need of some TLC. When finished they'll go back on my '75 Kaw Z2 750 RS street bike. It's in about a thousand pieces waiting for a new paint job....maybe by summer.
