Tusk LED headlight bulb replacement. Couldn't stand the dim stock H4 any longer. All I can say is HUGE improvement. Albeit, probably not as good as a JNS assembly but still well worth the 29.99$ it costs.

Pic doesn't do it justice but I think y'all get the idea. Low beam on side stand. It lights up the road like daylight.

Best wishes and remember ride hard, ride often for life is short.

Installed some eBay tank pads on my 2001. Found that improved standing position relative to 2 inch bar risers made my tank more slippery feeling. We got seven inches of snow between rides so will have to wait to see if I notice these as an improvement or a 32.00 dollar bust?
I'd been considering those pads. Thanks for posting a pic of them installed. They look good. Just the right size astectically.

On a side note related to LED headlights, specifically on the Gen 3s, has anyone else looked at the replacement cost on them ? Doesn't appear that only 1 "bulb" can be replaced. The ENTIRE assembly must be replaced should one fail. If you crack the lens? Same thing. It ain't cheap people !!

This is what ive found so far as a non OEM option. Curious if when 1st installed (should it actually fit and work) will it be pointed at the treetops like the original ?? Still cheaper than the $1,100 OEM .

Your selling dealership Was Supposed to adjust the headlight focus during Preparation before even setting it out on the sales floor!
We/I did for over 40 years that I worked in a Kawasaki Dealership.
But any replacement assy would probably still need some fine tuning.

Got to flog the “Possum Rocket” (Red Green reference) for about 110 miles after cleaning the air filter. Broke in my new Corozal Drystars.

BTW, does a longer shifter help with the thicker boot profile? I moved the shifter up one notch for about the first 50 miles, but didn’t like it, so it’s back at its normal position.

I'm jealous of you guys that are already out riding. It will be another six plus before the KLR will come out of the shop.
I put a new Shinko 705 on the back of the KLR a couple nights back. I also added Ride-On tire sealant to them for a little insurance.
Hey @terry_g just wanted to give a heads up after reading your post here. The bike needs to be ridden after installing the Ride-on product or at the very least if riding isn't an option I'd recommend raising the rear tire and letting the bike run in gear to properly distribute the product.

Best wishes

Thanks! I never thought about that. I put in both tire so I will go out and move the bike a few feet every day so it does not sit at the bottom of the tires. The instructions said that it does not harden or thicken once installed so I assumed it would be safe to put it in the tubes and let the bike sit until the weather changes.

Don't be that jealous. It was drizzly and 40's here today. You will note from motorat's picture that the road is wet, his foglights are on, and it's misty/drizzly in the background. Soon enough...

We've had some good days to ride in north Alabama lately.
It's nice to be on the back roads sometimes, where a Goldwing shouldn't tread. View attachment 40110
We have had a very mild February in this neck of the woods, which has made for some great riding! You’re not far from me, I’m south of Nashville. You ever ride the TN Dirt Devil?
