No, I've never been there. I haven't had the KLR very far from home.
If you’re ever up for coming up this way, give me a shout. The Dirt Devil is a nice easy ride.

Installed my camping saw/machete a few days ago. I know it decreases clearance between the crash bars and Tupperware, but for now I can’t think of a better place to mount it. It might get strapped to my GL Tillamook for my upcoming camping trip.

I’m still not sure I’m gonna leave them mounted in that position. I’d like to have them fold if they hit dirt, but I highly doubt I’ll have them extended when riding off highway.

How do you like them?

Thank you!

They do the job intended. They don’t slip/bend and give my knees a break on longer rides. For $18 I’d recommend them for sure.

The emission system on my bike went missing 😉. In preparation to cut a small plate from steel to cover the gaping hole left by the note missing vapor separator, I made a pattern from an old car tag. With two diagonal bends it’s quite rigid, and much lighter than a steel counterpart. I just might keep it, paint it black and put an SAE or cigarette lighter outlet there.

Kinda like Captain Jack Sparrow meets Road Warrior! Throttle in one hand and a Machete in the other!

Now.... where to put that Parrot? ;)

Added a decal. Must admit I saw it on another KLR and got the idea.
