In preparation for some moto camping trips we have planned, I decided to swap out the rear spring on my Gen3. Personally, I'm comfortable with the OEM spring on setting 5 and I'm about 275lbs, but I know I'm at the limit. We don't travel as light as we probably should, so better take care of it now.....
You truly don't know fear until you've compressed the 525 Top Gun spring! :ROFLMAO:

My high school science class comes to mind…potential energy. Compressing one of those sure creates the potential for hurt if not careful😉

Sweet looking ride! You like that Yoshi?
Yes sir I do! Disclaimer: I did it for the look and sound and had no expectations of increased power. I've had Yosh pipes on previous bikes and quality has always been second to none. It was a little spendy but you get what you pay for (buy once, cry once).

I did the Yellow Top Gun spring 8.0 kg (Don't know what that represents). I saw a video where a guy compressed using a couple of ratchet strapped threaded through the spring. That's what I did and it worked great and safe. I'm 250+# dressed and that new spring allowed no pre-set for correct sag. Stock was 5 for correct sag

Trifecta - oil change, air filter change, and (special treat) oil filter change!
- After so many miles (and it's such a mess) I only change the oil filter every second or third oil change.

Finally saved enough pennies, so I installed this today. Already love it after one ride!

I gotta ask.... why are you guys NOT changing the Filter with the Oil EVERY time? To each their own, I'm just wondering.
