So, on patch kits, spare tubes, CO2/ compressor and tire irons (pronounce "Tar irunz" ) what is the hot setup?

Carry my old used tubes, a "Slime" brand compressor, and my tar arns.

My tire repair kit, once a Agri Supply Manual Cannister.

The cannister contains a 21" tube, two 9" Motion Pro tar arns. A valve stem tool, and a travel size tube of Vaseline. The zip lock bag has several patches, two small tubes of adhesive, emery cloth. There is a stripped down [housing and fan removed] 12V air compressor in the tool well at the tail rack, and an 18" 2 x 2 is in the bottom of the right pannier as a trail jack.

The 21" tube will work in the 17" rear tire if the need arises. A 17" tube won't work well on the 21" front. Not real well or easily, anyway.

I read much about bead breaking methods, and, knock on wood, I haven't had any trouble breaking the bead on a tubed tire just using tar arns. It's all in how you hold your tongue.
