My 2009 KLR used to have a death wobble at around 68 MPH and above. Pondered all sorts of forum advice - steering head bearings, swingarm bearings, bent frame, windshield and on and on. Tires on the bike were cheap Kendas. A clue should have been the amount of lead it took to balance them. Anyhoo, finally decided the problem had to be the tires, fitted a set of Michelin Anake III's, Presto! Rides smoothly up to 85 plus, no issues. Breaking them in on a camping trip tomorrow

I am particular about static balancing my tires on bikes. But on the KLR with no rim lock I didn't need to balance them.
