Ca, or, wa, id, mt, wy, sd, nd

This trip will begin June 3rd a week before NorCal Tech Daze. Will be plunkin around NorCal, riding SR36, and visiting friends, and arriving NCTD. There is no bad route to Etna just some are better.

I don't have to be anywhere at any time. Have some places I want to visit but I am looking for places others have experienced. So let me know your favorite place or event in these states.

Cities, Area's, Places on my list:
rain man rich's Pass
Prospect OR
Boise
Enterprise OR to Clarkston WA (3 / 129)
Saint Maries ID
St Joe River Road ID
Wallace ID (friend are working there)
Lolo Pass (12)
Craters of the Moon Nat'l Monument
Hwy 93
Glacier National Park is high on my list and I will visit it twice.
Yellowstone National Park
Beartooth Pass
Jackson Hole
Sidney MT (friend lives there)

What and Where Else?

McCall ID to Enterprise OR

- Friends were working at an RV Park in Wallace ID and I was going to visit them five days coming and going. Well they left to return to Oregon. This changes my route so I am looking for something to do to Northern Idaho. Maybe on the return route.

- I researched the random route (most online maps) I will be taking from McCall ID to Enterprise OR. Part of the route is approximately 50 miles on NF-39 / Wallowa Mountain Loop / Wallowa Mountain Road. Looks like a beautiful ride. The other new found is Wallowa Lake State Park where I will camp for the night. Hopefully I will be camping at Ponderosa State Park the night before.

Please post if you know of something or something to do in this area.

Thanks for the thought. I have looked at this beautiful challenging fun route though don't think I would attempt it alone. Maybe another time with one or two more riders.

I just got back on Saturday from a ride on the 395 up the eastern side of California, Oregon and Washington. Except for the first four hours from San Bernadino, the 395 is a great road with tremendous diversity. I enjoyed the ride past Mammoth ski resort and the pass at 8150ft. The KLR did well for me and I enjoyed Oregon the past on the "scenic byway Highway 395". Check it out.

CA 395 is a nice ride. Caltrans has done such a good job that it can become boring...well other than the beautiful scenery.

Haven't ridden OR 395 or WA 395.

If time and weather allows I will be coming to Canada to see the northern portion of Glacier Nat'l Park and maybe visit friends in Ardrossan.

My friends that were working in Wallace ID have returned to OR. This allows me more time to explore Idaho and venture into Canada's Glacier Nat'l Park on the return trip from Eastern MT.

How did your trip go?? Did you make it to Ardrossan?

I am looking at taking a trip similar to your into Montana, Idaho and Oregon and possibly Washington.

Difference is I'm doing it on my Goldwing and was wondering if you had any suggestions? We are considering Lolo Pass and want to see the Lewis & Clark Caverns in Montana.

Helloklr4evr. I leave tomorrow morning. Starting with the long way to Humboldt Redwoods SP. Next is friends in Willow Creek. After that would be Etna for NorCal Tech Daze 2011. Then off to places I have never been to. I will add Lewis & Clark Caverns to my list.

When are you leaving for your Winged (nice and comfortable) trip?
