Thumbs up Alaska in 2012

Anybody planning a trip to Alaska on a KLR besides me? Leaving time is still up in the air because I'm retired.

CHIT!!!!!!!!!!!! I would love to go in 2012!

But I will not be able to throw another big trip in this year, it is packed with trips on the other bikes already!

A few of my friends and me are planning a trip to Alaska in 2013 and we are figuring roughly 4 to 6 weeks, this is the reason I bought the KLR.

Lookin forward to hearing about your ventures!

How long are you giving yourself on the trip?

MAy go in July. There is a Goldwing Rally in Anchorage but rather than my Wing I think I would go on the KLR. There is a group heading up from our area for a 21 day rendezvous including the Rally.

I should be back to Alaska in july. I just bought a KLR (after riding road bikes) and am ready to explore the places I was always afraid to go with prettier bikes.
