Met a guy from Alaska on a 96 KLR!

I was humbled. This fellow was my senior, his bike had over 200K on the odo.!!
I suggested he join the forum, said he didn't have a computer...made sense to me..he was a motorcyclist!! Had old metal panniers, small tank bag, some sort of BARKBUSTERS, a skid plate. A large 9gal.?gas tank . He was a retired AT&T executive.

That is incredible! I've heard of a few people pushing and going over 100K but never anyone close to 200... Makes you wonder how much he has done to the bike over the years

The US odometers must be quite a bit different than Canadian ones, my odo will only register 99,999 kilometers. Then it will reset back to zero. The American odometers are 6 digit? (not counting tenths of course)
