Ritual Missouri Monday Ride

Here's a few pics from today's ride. The drought here enabled me to hit a lot of these back dirt roads that are usually mud pits. Now that I've reconned them in the daylight, there's a full Moon coming up so it will be time to go back and hit them in the dark.

It's my rain gear, but it doubles nicely as a back rest.

Some of those look like they would be fun to ride. How many critters come out at night? See you were doing some tracking. LOL

They're the best ones; roads abandoned by the county long ago but still "maintained" by the farmers that still use them to access their fields and kids that go "mudding" in their pickups. Nighttime travellers that I've seen include raccoons, possums, foxes, bobcats and coyotes. I've never seen a deer riding dirt or gravel roads at night.
