Rode to Greenville today

For those who havn't figured out, I'm unemployed right now. So Moday doesn't suck so bad anymore, but payday is gone
However, that as it may be, I took off to find Treaty City where the Peace Pipe Enduro is to be held next weekend. I had looked it up on my GPS mapping program and figured it was about an hour to get there. Well, I was darn close. From my door to the track is just about an hour and fifteen min with traffic.
I tried to stay on track on the way there and simply made mental notes of some of the side roads I saw. When I got to where the track should be however, I couldn't see a single sign for it. I had to, a-hum, ask someone.
As it turned out I'd riden right past it. The drive goes between two houses and is not marked untill you pass the homes.

It's been wet so I got some pictures of the track since I didn't see a single marking on 36 or near the club to indicate where the ride was going.

After finding the club I headed back towards Bellfountain, OH. I Zigged and Zagged hitting some trails along the rivers. This one was really cool because of the way the trees had grown around the trail. The trail only went another 5 to 600 ft beyond this point. :|

The Greenville Creek was really flowing.

I continued towards Kiser Lake and around it. Later I found another trail that looked as though it was used by local fisherman to access the Mad River. I stoped by the road and got one for family. Don't I look Happy?

Then one of the Mad River, I must return and fish this some time!

Soon after I made it to Bellfountain and 33 south towards the Mad River Ski area. Some of the trails around the river show promise and I now know where to go when I have time to explore new riding areas. The ride home rewarded me with a good strech of gravel farm road. It is hard to find any good areas within an hours ride so these little areas that I do pick up on make the exploring worth while.

Great pictures!

Sorry to hear about the unemployment thing, but at least your finding some cool riding / fishing areas.

By the way, you look like, well, like a cop.... What's your profession?

 You would not believe how often I hear that, but the sad truth is I am a Environmental Scientist. I have been worked mostly with Haz waste or Hazardous materials. Somehow the counting dear turd thing just never paned out!
I know one person in here who IS a cop, but I don't think he looks like one. Sorry Mark.

Update photos from Peace pipe enduro

Well, Sunday we went back toy Greenville to watch some friends in the Peace Pipe Enduro. I think there were 120+ entries and at least half of those did not complete the course! Two of the Five guys I went to watch finished.
Meet team caveman. Tom (holycaveman), Glenn (sparky), Rob (British Caveman), Johnny (Landscape Caveman) and Shawn (Man-tor Caveman)

Since I hitched a ride to play gas man with Dave, we only got to see three sections. First the start:

The first creek crossing

And the finnishing area

Johnny had a battery die after the first creek crossing and dropped out. Shawn and Glenn helped him get out of the woods and lost time and timed out. Tom (HC) dumped the KLR and bent the radiator and fan. He lost too much time repairing it and finnished but houred out. Rob finnished and was 9th of 12 in his class. Way to go Rob
