Thumbs up Cherokee Nat. For. Newbe Rider

There were 2 of us to go on this short warning ride. David just bought this '05 KLR from our local dealership. It was there for only about a week, because TellicoTim just traded it in on an '08. Anyway, our destination was Cherokee National Forest, south of the Ocoee River.

We ended up cutting out a couple of FS roads I wanted to take due to my shifter cracking at the weld. It was just last week that I was telling myself that I needed to order me a HD one. Oh, well, we had fun and because it had rained the day before, there was no dust. The temps were good in the forest, too (92 back at the house).

Be looking for David to make his first post here pretty soon..........

Very nice Chuck.
have that shifter welded and keep it as a spare if you get the other one.
How far is that waterfall from the road? I missed that one last fall.

Today is the first day of the rest of your life.

The falls is on Peavine Sheeds Cr. Rd. (FS 221), just north of the TN/GA state line. Here's the coords - N35 0 13.6 W84 37 2. During a freeze, like 20 degrees, the waterfall makes a beautiful frozen cascade.
