Back on August 8, I took what was suppose to be one of the hottest days of the year, and turned it into a nice day in the mountains......
I started out in Cleveland and headed over to Chatsworth, Ga. Picked up a great road that I first rode about 15 years ago, Hwy 52, and set my sights on Amicalola Falls, where I was to meet Dulcimerbob.
Today, we were going to scout out some places in the Blue Ridge W.M.A. for the upcoming group ride - http://www.klr650.net/forums/showthread.php?t=28767
I pretty much cut my DS riding teeth in the N. Ga. mountains back in the 90's, but for some reason not checked out all this specific area had to offer. Which is strange, because this W.M.A. is exactly between TWO campground and where I used to live in Alabama. Go figure why I never scouted it out, fully. Maybe the call of Hwy. 60 made me forget about the dirt. :ride:
Anyway, here are some pics of the ride. Hope you enjoy..........
