Back roads safari - CO to WI

Just filing a quick ride report on the back roads adventure from Denver to Northern Wisconsin. In summary, the KLR did the 3800 miles flawlessly, even after going down hard a few times. I did burn out the license plate lamp, which the WI state trooper was kind enough to bring to my attention...

Lots of rain, lots of camping, not nearly enough food or sleep, but no there's something good.

Now, the next business is replacing the crushed engine guard and right side mirror, repairing the right side and top fairings (which are cracked like a walnut), and changing the air & oil filters and I'll be back in business. If anyone has an old mirror laying around, I'd be glad to buy it from you!

PS: Everywhere I went, I met friendly KLR folks and it was nice to feel so welcomed in so many places, just by dint of the ol' bike.
