Ocean to Ocean in Panamá.

This Sunday, my son and I went to the Atlantic coast, the Panamanian Caribbean. It is the Atlantic entrance of the Panama Canal. the trip was from south to north. It is less than 90 kilometers from the Pacific Ocean which is the coast of Panama City, where we have breakfast. The lunch was lobster at a restaurant on the Caribbean beaches. Specifically in the town of Portobelo. An important port in the time of the Spaniards since from there the ships with the gold of Peru went to Spain. In his bay is buried Sir Francisk Drake an English corsair that was put in a lead coffin and thrown to the bay of Portobelo. Some pics of the bay and an old Spanish fort. You can see the canyons.

The man on top of the mountain didn’t fall there.

Damn, that is a hell of a good way to spend a Sunday! Never been to Panama but I went to Nicaragua in March and rented some kind of Honda dual sport while I was there (forget what it was called), absolutely loved it and loved that part of the world. Ate lobster for breakfast, lunch and dinner!

I lived in Montreal with my wife and children from 1998 to 2001 for work at the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) acting as the representative of Panama on the Council. It is a beautiful city. For us tropical, cold and snow were something different and we enjoyed it very much. I lived on the Nuns Island. Greetings.
