My wife and I recently took my new 09 blue KLR from up here on the Kitsap Peninsula down to Kennewick in the tri-cites to do some wine tasting. (WA STATE) It was about 270 miles one way, some highway travelling and some MTN pass roads. Overall it was HOT
but enjoyable. The bike worked out great on the trip, although my wife wasn't a big fan of the seat after a while.
Here's us in front of the house getting ready to leave.
At a pulloff on WA 410 overlooking Mount Ranier.
Lunch at the 1885 Bar and Grill in Naches, WA off of HWY 12
At the Barnard Griffin Winery in Richland, WA
What my wife looked like after an evening of microbrew tasting near our hotel..
At the top of Chinook Pass on WA 410 on the way home.
It was a fun ride (if a little hot), and easily tackled by the KLR.
