4th of July - WA to Central OR and back up the Cost

Hey everybody - hope everyone is planning trips to take advantage of the upcoming holiday weekend. Just though i throw out my current plan and see if anyone had some insight and/or suggestions. Right now the plan is:

Friday - Skip out of work early and head over I-90 to Yakima, HWY 97 South through Goldendale in onto Biggs. Continue 97 S through Shaniko and Camp at Lake Billy Chinook. +/- 350 miles.

Saturday - Leave Lake Billy Chinook and head south to Bend. Head West on HWY 372 'Cascade Lake HWY' which is supposed to open for the season tomorrow. South on HWY 46, S on HWY 1352, HWY 58 to S HWY 97, W on 138, S to Crater Lake National Park and spend the afternoon wandering and finding somewhere in the surrounding area to camp off the beaten path. +/- 175 miles.

Sunday - Leave Crater Lake heading NW on HWY 138 along the Umpqua crossing I-5 at Roseburg. From here i am either taking HWY 42 to the beach at Bandon or the Coos Bay Wagon RD. I hope i can take the wagon Rd but am worried about getting too far off the beaten path alone. either way, once at the beach heading north to the Florence area to check out the dunes and beach riding and find somewhere to camp. +/- 275 miles

Monday - Wander up the coast to Tillamook and head inland to stay with relatives in Gaston, just West of Portland. +/- 175 miles

Tuesday - Meeting for work in downtown PDX, then back up to seattle in the afternoon, hoping to avoid I-5

Any tips or suggestions on routes and camping would be appreciated. This will be my first solo-motorcycle trip so i dont want to get too crazy but avoiding as much super slab as possible is the goal. I'm hoping Friday is the only night that i have to stay in a camp ground, but though it would be safer to have a reservation as i will be getting into town late on a holiday weekend.

In addition to my camping (tons of backpacking experience) and riding gear am I missing anything important:

-tire irons
-spare tube
-patch kit
-c02/ bike pump
-1st aid kit
-nylon webbing
- few extra 'go-to' hand tools -8mm & 10mm sockets, pliers, phillips screw driver, zip ties, duct tape
-extra oil
