Yosemite Trip Camping -April 29th

Good Evening All Wise and Rugged KLR Riders,

I went and did it. I made a reservation for two nights tent camping in Yosemite's Hogdon Meadows 29th and 30th of April. I am leaving early in the morning on April 29th heading for Yosemite. I will be staying at least one night perhaps two if I have others who join. This campsite will accommodate up to 6 people.

The main purpose for this trip is fun. I would enjoy getting out for the first trip of the season. The spot is reserved and paid. Let me know if you are interested. The pace is to be relaxed. I would like to get some hiking in as well.

Yosemite Trip Camping or Yosemite Camping Trip...

Good Evening All Wise and Creative KLRers,

I have talked with a Buddy of mine who is set on joining us on the Yosemite Trip. The route that I would take is: SF - Angels Camp 580 East to 680 North to 4 East through Stockton to Angels Camp. Then 49 South towards 120 East into Yosemite. First day in Yosemite, relax, explore, set camp. next morning eat, break camp, explore, tour set up camp, eat, drink beer, sleep. Last day return to SF via the similar route, but open to some discussion.

Two nights camping spot paid, no charge to four others (maximum) unless we reserve another spot (dependent on interest). The only reason this would be called off is weather.

Please respond if you are interested. So far Lockjaw, Snakeboy66 and one other.

Life is a ride that should be thouroughly enjoyed. ATGATT!

I might be up for this, depends on what happens over the next 2 weeks with work and another trip I was supposed to do that may not be happening ATM...

Put me on the tentative list....Cheers!

Yosemite Camping Trip

Good Evening All Nimble and Fleet KLRers,

OK....I now have Me, Scotty G, Lock Jaw and Tractor-king on the list for the trip. I like the enthusiasm!

I went to REI and purchased freeze dried food for four meals. I then went to Sportsbasement and picked up a Dry Sack and toilet paper. I just finished placing an order for a RAM mount for my Garmin. Earlier today, I took the time to place all the items I would need for a two night stay in Yosemite on a tarp. I then packed and placed the stuff for weight distribution and security. It looks good.
I tightened all bolts and screws. I will next look into redoing my brake pads within the next few days as well as lube the chain and all necessary parts.
If you can't tell, I am excited. I have taken the days off and received an OK for m the Wife and Son. April 29th, 30th - No cell service...No Problem.

Let me know the latest as to who can make it. I will help in anyway I can.

Sounds fun...

Try not to get your bikes tipped over by a hungry bear looking for that energy bar you left in your pannier...

Cabrito,

That is good sound advice. We can hang our bikes from the nearest tree. Any chance you are available to join us?

Can't make those dates. Wish I could.

An old friend left a power bar in one of his panniers and a bear knocked his bike over and ripped apart his luggage to get it.
