Yeeeehaaawwww, we're going swimming!!!!

Hey MotoPhoto, I got your check today. $50 is in the pot.

I bought a bunch of pvc pipe the other day. Walter called the other day just to make sure he could believe his ears...yes, we're installing an irrigation system...the irritation system is across the street(me).

I'm going to pick out a few different colors of paver stones for Walter to look at this weekend. He wants a square/rectangle shaped patio with a reddish paver. He likes an english garden style, lots of straight lines and the like. This makes it easy on us for the install, but a little bit of a pain for maintaining. Flowing curves makes for fast mowing and spraying and edging...we'll see how things come out.

Well, it looks like Aztec can't make it. I've got us a supervisor, Augie from a couple blocks over is going to come over. He's got some years on him and can't do much. but he and Walter used to talk daily..not so much since Walter has been cooped up.

I could really use 2 more strong backs. Anybody care to help?

I don't care what Joe says..I'm renting a trencher.

I think we had better put in a drain in the corner near the garage. I'm going to go get a bunch of supplies this weekend.

Oh yeah, Walter got the president of the local rose society to come over and move the roses..it's his call if he thinks they can handle a move this time of year.

We pretty much are. I'm trying to do it how Walter wants though.

Ok, I'm going to order pavers this week. Walter wants 12"x12" red square. There is room for a 14'x8' patio + about 350 square feet around the raised garden so Walter can get his wheelchair around the garden. There is an extra 5"s along the house side of the garden and I'm thinking that we'd better put a french drain on that side(no gutter on that section).

I think I'll get the trencher this weekend and have that out of the way before the 9th. I'll have to unload the pavers into the backyard or risk some tard stealin' 'em outta my truck. I'll have a full truck load of sand for the patio base sitting here ready to go.

Any other thoughts?

Need to measure for sprinkler spacing and plan that out, no big dealio on that.

I'm putting supplies together this week. I've decided to skip the pavers around the garden for now, we'll just do the patio for now.

The plan: Patio, sprinkler system, move roses, some general cleanup, scrape up some rocks in front and put down bark. Maybe a french drain, his yard drains pretty good as is.

I think I'll have everything ready to go.

The help: MotoPhoto, Me/Becky, Joe/Linda, Mark/Mary, Mike from down the street and his wife Chris, the local rose society president and 5-6 people from Walters church.

If for some reason we really fly thru the work and have a bunch of time we can pick up some more pavers and put them around the garden...we can take a vote or whatever.

Edit: I'll have a really nice air mattress set up for you, Craig. Show up tired and hungry, plan on meals here with us. I get off work at midnight, the girls will let you in and get you some dinner. Bike goes in the garage.
