New Sacramento Tech Day (possibly)

For the past year I have been considering talking to PCP Motorsports (new Kawasaki dealer) about hosting a KLR Tech Day. The parts manager is a great guy. He builds an races vintage motocross bikes. He is not a roadie. Last year his friend bought a KLR 650. He rode it and liked it. Recently he found an '03 for sale and thought he would just look at it. Well he got permission to buy a partial road bike and now is a KLR owner and rider. I mentioned the Tech Day to him a couple of weeks ago and he thought it was a good idea. If it happens we are talking mid to late Spring. PCP has a huge complex. It used to be a VW and Audi delaership with three buildings.
I will let you know more as it happens.

A dealer would probably think it was a conflict of of interest at first glance. but, I don't really think it is. I think they could potentially get more of our notoriously cheap asses to spend money there this way. Hope they go for it.

Tim, good job keep us posted. With any luck I might be able to sneak a Concours 14 out the back door without any one noticing

Hey Craig and Ben good to see (read) you.

Ben I agree. No conflict, just potential customers.

Craig how are you doing? The last time I spoke with you Larryboy came in the door and you had to get off the phone. Are you home yet? Did you buy the DL1000 you were talking about? As for the Connie 14, that would be two of them going out the back door with one staying in Sacramento. I have been riding a friends '99 Honda Shadow Aero VT1100C3. Lots of slow fun though this one has a lifter or some other problem. Wouldn't it be nice to have five bikes of different flavors. Actually to have the garage would be nice.

Tim, Things are going great, back to work and causing as much problems as possible. Straighten things out from the last two months from being off.
I am holding off on the DL1000 to get the C-14.
There is a Tech day in Portland this weekend; I will be driving the car. This time of the year there is packed snow, Ice and freezing fog. Besides the doc's say no bike for at least 3-months.

Talk to you later

Hey Tim, why don't you invite them to the Sears Point day? Let them see what it's about before the commit?

Good idea. What day and date is the Sears Point Tech Day? He works Tuesday-Saturday. Is there a place to ride the KLR off the street at Sears Point? Mike usually does not ride street.

Shoot Benjava a PM. They're trying to get the shop finished up I think. I'm hoping for a Sunday so Mark and Mary can come.

Hi Craig. No I don't and should probably start discussing it with Mike. What are some good dates for you?
