Oregon outback trip teaser

OK I'm wanting to do the Oregon outback this summer/fall. Would like to do from Cali to Prineville or SE Wa to Prineville, time is no problem. Problem is I don't know anybody in the DS community and definately don't want to do this trip alone. I have used GPS but don't have one on my bike and don't plan on getting one. I also don't want to pay for one of the guided trips either. If you are planning this trip in the future and dont mind an extra guy along for the experience please invite me! Or we can plan a trip together.

Every fall I do a big loop of Oregon... I stay off the beaten path, camp in the middle of no-where and try to stay "primitive". I've always done this alone, most folks won't spend a week sleeping on the ground, bathing in creeks/hot springs and avoiding population centers.

Like Larryboy's adventure, it's soul rejuvenating and a time for introspection.

Have you done this ride yet or still just wishing? I usually ride solo but have enough interest in this route to consider a small group ride.

I pretty much do everything alone - just not a joiner.

If you spend a little time with common sense planning and prep a trip like that should be no problem. And you might learn a little more about yourself.
