Tim,

Yes I will be there, I am trying to get off at noon, will know today.

Drilling the sub frame. I have the drill bits and will bring them. Steam007, you will need to bring some kind of lubricant.

I also have extra gaskets that I will bring.

If I don't get a chance to work on my bike, not a big deal. I can always do it when I am snow-bound this winter.

Will be great to meet you!!!

Yeah, we can try and fix all that stuff+valve adjustments. The '08 is a little more work to get to the motor, but Kevin has done his once and knows the tricks now..we'll throw the '08 guys together and they can help each other.

I'm pretty sure that the valve cover bolts are the same size thread as the case bolts, they just have the larger shouldered head on them. EagleMike recommends 52 inch pound feet of torque on those ones. I'll dig up my Clymer and try to figure out the size.

To the crowd:

More valve shims are on the way from Fred..he's charging $6 now instead of $4.50..I don't want to price anybody out of adjusting valves..I'm going to go on a donation program from now on..throw in the jar if you can..things even out for me...don't worry about $$ if you don't have it. We do these things to help folks work on their bikes and get the most out of them that they can.

LOL - and here I was wondering if you'd heard of me and figured that if you ignored me, I'd go away

We'll try and get there around 9-9:30 (it is a Saturday morning, after all) to give the bikes time to cool for the valve stuff.

You don't know unless you ask.

Benjava told me you were coming so I thought I'd better sift through and double check...there you were.

I work graveyards and don't sleep much.

We're gonna have folks from various places coming by. My imaginary internet friend Bob from pirate 4 x 4 is going to stop by. He's a cruiser bike slash Jeep guy that I've known for 6 or 7 years online..he lives in the area now and we've been trying to meet.

Another guy from my work, Robert. He's hiding new tires for his DRZ400E from his wife at my house and a new jacket for winter riding. He'll be by to spoon on tires.

Walter from next door is finally feeling pretty sporty on his super fast powered wheel chair..he's coming over to visit and have some BBQ.

Yes, Mrs LarryBoy is counting on it. Plan a route, give us a meeting spot for the GPS and we're there. Big Joe coming too?

The implement museum in Pengrove is having an open house on the 12th..I might come back over to check it out for an hour or so. They've got the giant motor from the Spruce Goose on a stand and running..cool stuff if you like old junk.

I bought Eagle Mfg's complete drill through sub frame bolt kit so I have some nice fresh bits for the job, and I have a beast of a single speed 1/2" drill that I used when I cored to the center of the earth.

If it's pouring rain I may pass and stay in the shelter of my own garage, although Saturday's forecast looks mild.
