Rob,

Yes... There are a couple of Sac boyz that need their doo's done. I had offered my place, but your place is a better fit. (BEER)

Happy new year to you and Beck-a-roo!

2/6

If so that leaves me with.

2/6

I leave for Daytona Beach on 2/19 and won't return ontil 3/14.

Happy new year to you and yours too, Mark!! If you know of a few that need to doo some KLR work, point them this way.

Yeah Tim, those are the days. I'm leaning towards the 30th so you can come. I'd doo a Sunday, but I work Sunday nights and have to get some sleep...Saturdays are all I can handle these days.

Let me run that date past a few guys and see where we're at.

That's how we do it, Sean. We offer up a techday and you invite yourself. Get your doo and parts, I've got the tools. I have valve shims if you need to do a valve adjustment.

Thanks

Hey, thanks again...very cool.

I have all the parts except a new gasket (which I was told I probably would not need? but will be ordering it tonight, just in case). With 8K on the bike, I should probably inspect the valves. I've never even considered doing that myself, but look forward to learning how. Let me know if there is anything I can bring.

If you have an '08 or newer look into how to remove and reinstall the plastics.

You won't need a valve cover gasket but we have a spare just in case.

Other inexpensive mods...
...PCV
...Petcock vacuum line rerouting
...???

Updated the first post with the date and stuff.

It's a good idea to have the left cover gaskets as they rarely get torn...9 out 10 times you can use the old ones.

Other bikes are welcome. I've got the flywheel puller for the TE610 to change the cam chain.
