SF Bay Area ride: Dublin to Carnegie, Saturday April 17

I've scheduled a few dual sport rides in the past and the KLR showing has been rather weak so far. Now's your chance to show what a great all around motorcycle you're riding.

We will meet on Saturday, April 17, 2010 in Dublin on the east side of the Shell gas station at 4895 Hacienda Dr, at the entrance to the Regal Hacienda Crossings theater and strip mall. Meet at 9:00 a.m. and hit the road by 9:15.

Last chance to get in on this ride.

I think I have two or three KLR riders from BARF who plan to show up. Anybody else from this forum?

We're going to have fun.

Scott! What's up brother? I'm going on a weekend long ride next weekend, so going on this one would result in divorce. One of these times...

Guys and girls, Scott is a good guy and a good rider. Take him up on his offer if you live around here. My bet is you'll be glad you did.

BTW, if you want to make some money or have an interesting discussion of physics, I called you out a while back.

Ummm...never mind and apologies Wanderer. I read it that you could beat any sport bike on your KLR, not the other way around.

Well, my daughter is teething, I ain't sleeping, and I killed a lot of braincells in my younger days.

Scott,
one of these days I'll make the ride, don't give up. I work Saturdays, so sometimes I can get out, but not others.

Thanks for the offer- hopefully next time.

Dave

Man! I always miss these... I'd love to go but I'm nursing a bad foot from a previous DS ride a couple of weeks ago. This would've been perfect!

April 17 ride report

Okay, I'm back and feel that the ride was a big success. By my count, we had a total of 18 participants for one part of the ride or another. There were more KLR's than any other type of bike, but I'm not sure if any of them came from this forum. I'm more impressed with the KLR now that I've seen what those guys could do.

Some people got to try out some new challenges, and hopefully everyone had a good time. Here are some of the photos that I took. I'm displaying the small ones with links below them to the larger version of each photo so that you don't have to wait a long time for this page to load, but can still look at a better version of the photos that you like.

Because of the image limit (even on little ones) on this site, you'll have to click on a few more links to see the rest of the photos
