May 1 - Little Dragon - Gold Country Tour

Little Dragon Ride / Gold County Tour / Lunch in Coulterville

The Litttle Dragon

When: Saturday, May 1
Time: 8am, roll at 830 sharp
Where: Chevron @ Latrobe Road and Hwy 50 (south side hwy50), Eldorado Hill (25 miles east of Sacramento).
Route: Rather than give specifics. Route will include the Little
Dragon, Amador County Roads, and if time permits – we can
return via the all time classic Cottonwood Road.
All roads will be paved.
Pace: All riders welcome.
Misc: Great 2up ride (I will be 2up). Coulterville is a great lunch stop
just outside Yosemite. Only thing I would consider is the
length of the route. This will be a full day in the saddle with
quality roads from start to finish. Wild flowers should be out -
will be an awesome day in the hills.

If weather / time permit, we can take a quick break / swim here, The Gods Bath, Clavey River
off Cottonwood Road.

I'm hosting this ride on the main forum I frequent. It will be mostly sport bikes with a hanful of dual sports and super motos. Thought i would post here as it will be an epic day in the saddle. If anybody is intersted and needs a place to crash the night couch is open.

Rain cancels this ride.

This Saturday

Warning: There will be 20-30 riders on this ride. If you don't like large group rides - probably not for you.

On the other hand - if you have never done Cottonwood Road / Cherry Lake Road - You really should as it is one of the best goat trails in CA.

Bump for Cottonwood Road and The Dragon.

Cottonwood Road

Just in case anyone cares:

Cottonwood Road is open, clear, and in stellar shape. Our group probably passed 25 BMW adventure bikes and a handful of KLR's. If you have not done this road - go do it. Perfect narrow strip of white pavement winding endlessly through the forest, down ridgelines, across raging rivers...hands down MY favorite road. Lots of DS potential as well.
