Would this be an advanced riders only trip? I don't even think I qualify for anything over rookie rides and should probably stay away from group rides but I really want to go!
Gonna be all types of riders there. Were still tryin to narrowe it down to the first or second weekend of the month. ADV rider has a ride scheduled for that weekend also. If anything just make it a day trip n come out to meet the guys and ride the rookie trails with me.
All are invited and i am not an advanced rider, ...LOL.... Much as i wanna be. Most of our guys just like to get out n have a good ride. Please goto KLR650.net and subscribe to the JT thread to get the latest updates n post your intended attendance. So far the group is 12 counting you. Some of the guys are gonna trailer in and some of us are gonna ride.
All i can say is what a ride and what scenery. Awesome to meet so many new riders. Walleywhirled from ADV was graciousa enough to provide accomodations at his, one of four immaculate residences. Even with our dirty ridin gear he was a most gracious host. Im gonna try n post the pics i took. The KLR crew mostly rode through Berdoo Canyon, some of Little Morongo Canyon, and all of joshua tree park. My favorite of all was Gold Crown Road! Old Dale mine, or somthin like that. Pretty technical in the back mountain part, but absolutely incredible views and terrain. Lotsa sand, lotsa rocks, lotsa OH S**T cliffs, and plenty of grins of accomplishment.
Thats definitely gonna be my next planned day trip for the southwest riders....
