No, I'm on the west side of the city.. I find it ok to ride in Edmonton though.. I just stay out of peoples way. I only mostly ride in the city when I go to work, otherwise I hit the dirt trails leading away from population.

Yeah that's the trestle that a few grain car fell off a few months back in wainwright. Real close to where I'm at. Yeah every I ride with here has street bikes so I haven't done alot of off roading but would love to again. My tires are shot for off road but I have a brand new set off 50/50s sittin in my garage. It woul be nice to meet up with some KLR riders again to do some off roading and such.

June 1 st weekend, anyone have any interesting rides planned? Like a weekend trip to banff, jasper Calgary Edmonton or anything. I'm off and trying to do a trip that weekend thought the mountains again before my first born arrives in July. I doubt I will have to many over night trips for a while then. I have a few street bike guys interested a bit but wouldn't mind a bit of off road time to.

Cheers, Nick

Hi Everyone!
I'm hoping to encourage Albertan KLR riders to register on the KLR user map in the You've Been Spotted thread. I know there are more Alberta riders than the half dozen showing on the map now. I think its cool to see where we are in relation to each other! Maybe it would help in arranging rides or tech help or just in info regarding riding areas or camping locations.

Doesn't look like a lot of activity here, anyways here goes. Just bought a new 2012 KLR650 at the motorcycle show. It will sit beside my K1600GTL till it's time to ride. I live in Edmonton.

Happy riding.

Congrats on the 2012 KLR - which color did you get?

Oh, and welcome to this little corner of the KLR universe!

Ah, you did buy it at the show! I was going to ask you that in your introduction thread . I didn't make it to the show, were there any Urals there?
My brother in law bought a Grizzly there a few years ago, he got a good deal!

Yes, bought it at the show from Echo. Only saw 1 Ural there.

The last Kawi I had was a 750 Vulcan then went to BMW. I wanted a 650GS or 800GS but too much money, saw the KLR and my wife said buy it.

Cool! I'm scared to go to the show... I just know my bank account would never be the same
