Bob

Wondering of other westerners have installed a thermo bob on their klr. Seems logical living in a colder climate.

Wouldn’t be without it.

Actually, the climate that the bike is ridden in, be it cold or hot, is irrelevant. What the TBob does do is modernize the cooling system. It gets rid of the "cold shock syndrome" and other operating abnormalities of the original antiquated system.

The Thermo-Bob was the 1st modification I performed in advance of my Oil Pressure / Oil Flow modifications. https://www.klrforum.com/1987-2007-w...mportance.html

I'd recommend the Thermo-Bob to everyone, but one must realize that it is for quicker, more thorough Warming of an engine, not a cooling aid.
The coolant pump, radiator & fan take care of cooling.

The Thermo-Bob was one of the first mods I made to my 2017.
I live in a colder climate Northwest Canada.

The white stuff is melting fast. I should have the KLR back on the road near the end of march.
