Been riding for about 5 years - new to the Dual Sport.

Just bought a 2011 KLR 650 in Cody.

I have a few friends that ride up here....

Hi Guys,
Looks like this thread needs a bump.
I've been riding Dual-Sport since I started riding in 1969.
I've lived in WYO all my life, and I still haven't seen it all.

Poisionslinger, I have a good friend / riding partner in Cody. Keith C. lives on Sunset Rim.
Have ridden with him and his local buddies, George P., BJ, Darrell, Ken a couple of times. Maybe you've met some of them? Maybe we will meet sometime.

My son just moved to Laramie where he'll be for the next 10 months or so - Diesel Mechanic program at WyoTech. He's got his KLR with him, as well as his R6 & Ford truck.

A friend and I traveled to Wyoming a couple months ago. Beautiful country. We stayed in Lander and Cody and enjoyed both. Visited Lander Marine and Kawasaki which is the first Kawasaki dealership in the USA. Had a good time visiting Paul. Also visited the new visitor center at Heart Mountain Japanese Relocation Center. Well worth the time and ride. Enjoyed our stay in Cody. Really liked this city. We rode Chief Joseph and Beartooth Pass to Red Lodge for the night and returned on Beartooth Pass the next day. Yellowstone NP is stunning. This won't be the last time I visit Wyoming though the next trip will have more time to explore this beautiful state.

acidman,
I'm not too far of a detour, stop in, if you want to make a loop ride to and from Utah in the course of visiting your son in Laramie.

Wow,
Wyoming is quite. Now that winter is closing in it might get better since we'll be typing rather than riding in the warmth of our homes.
I'm in Kemmerer and there is one other rider here that I know and I ride with a KTM'er form Cokeville.

We should get out and play together or try next year... Sounds distant! But be here post haste..

Location wise, sounds like South Pass is fairly central to what I've read. Maybe a good starting place.

But should this fall on death screens, B U M P !

Squidly,
Do you mean to say that 'Cabin-Fever' is already showing in some of our postings?
If so, I'm Sorry Guys.

Very fine snow falling as I type this. But I did 'Take-A-Main' on a bike today, about 2PM.
