Ive been snowed upon on that road. Still loved it however. I went over it for the first time after dark last summer, dont recommend it. Anyone ever ridden the dirt version of Trail Ridge? Still in the park, its the original route over the pass and still dirt. Forget the name but its a pretty nice ride. Not very technical but awesome views and you are pretty much all by your self.

You start with a full bag of luck and an empty bag of experience. Hopefully you fill the bag of experience before you empty the bag of luck.

Fall River Road. We went up that way, one way up. Got to the top and the guy on the DR wanted to go back the same way because of the snow. Sorry no can do. It was miserable coming down. Don't try it on the weekend, it can be a parking lot.

Dirt version usually closes early. I haven't ridden it on my KLR, but I have ridden it on my GPZ1100, it was tough. I've been up that road about a dozen times in my 4X4 Chevy but some of the turns are so sharp I have to pull into them, back up, and then make the curve. Very fun road and will be up there again this year for sure!

John

Farkled probably WAY too much, but good 20' footer for sure. '96 KLR, '06 HD VROD, (girl friend hauler), '05 HD Electra-Glide, heh it's a HD and I'm old now ;-) and I'm proud of riding a 800+ pound bike at my age :-)

Did the dirt road in my old minivan quite a few years ago. All well and good except for the penis wrinkle who had a rental Jeep and used his granny gear all the way up. The van needed to go about twenty five mph or so to keep running right and to keep from burning up clutches, he was going about three mph with a hundred or so cars behind him. My automatic transmission failed about a week later. Bastard!
