Did not expect to see the Doohickey already done. Well, i got new gaskets so i might as well do those. Its the updated beveled version with the torsion spring too. And i opened the damn baggie with the new doohickey and washer to read the instructions.

Whatever, did the gaskets. They were both leaking, so needed to take it all apart anyways. Just sucks wasting money.

I use an electric engraver to write, "EM Doo & T spring DONE" on the beveled lower edge of the engine cover directly above the locking bolt for everyone in the future to READ on every KLR650 that I do the Doo on.
You might care enough to do the same. ;)

Yeah im gonna engrave EM-DT. Was just irritating. Finished the water pump seal rebuild this morning, then decided to hit the doohickey task only to see its done once i pulled the rotor. They reused the original gaskets which led to a leak, so had to pull it all apart anyways. Was not as hard as i had imagined. But definitely a job that can go south easily.
