I want to get rid of the Vacuum line to the petcock and block off the original petcock. I need advice on where to buy a kit to do this. Any suggestions would be appreciated?

just buy a Yamaha Raptor 660 petcock and swap it out. You'll have a real petcock and not have to mess with making a blocking plate. Search for 'vatrader petcock mod'. T

I just replaced the vacuum petcock on my 2002 with a free flow and it is great. That vacuum petcock can (and will eventually) cause you problems that can be hard to diagnose and/or distinguish from choke or carb issues.

Because of my bad vacuum petcock, I replaced the thumb choke with the choke eliminator that screws directly into the carb. As it turned out the choke wasnt the problem but what a great farkle when you need to work on your carb and you DONT have to fool with that plastic choke cable connector!!!! I can now rotate my carb 90 degrees in either direction with the choke eliminator installed.

I would make your own, it's just a flat piece of steel with 4 holes drilled into it with a gasket....damn! There was a guy on the other site who was making them for $8.....that was worth the price of admission $25 I not so sure.....damn!
Also for that price you must be getting close to a new free flowing version aren't you?:13:
