My wife has some snakeskin gel pads made for her ninja 400 they are nice but extremely expensive and kinda bad looking. Just black patches with black blisters all over, they work really well though. I was going to try using some paper and making a stencil to cut my own vinyl sticker paper, it wont have the grip factor but it should stop my pants from rubbing the paint off the gen 3 metal tank. They sell generic sheets of snakeskin at a premium price. The cost of some stickers is outrageous!! Its not like the material costs that much to begin with and the colorful designs are all really dumb especially for the price!

 

If you just mean the side ones (about where your knees sit), I have these on my 2022 Adventure model: Attack Graphics Tank Protection Decals | Parts & Accessories | Rocky Mountain ATV/MC. They are $30, work well with the black tank, are grippier than the smooth metal was before, and keep my knees from scuffing the tank:

I got some of these, they are a dense foam and seem pretty durable so far. Fairly grippy and pretty cheap too.
