I've been looking for over a year and finally found (and bought) a 2008 KLR 650. The bike had 10,931 miles. The previous owner was candid about his experience with the bike. At 5000 miles it locked up and the local Kawasaki dealer replaced the entire upper end. Prior to it seizing he said it sucked oil. Since then he said that he has had to add 8 to 16 ozs every 1500 or so miles.

I checked with the dealer to verify the repair and bought the bike for $2700. He threw in two new tires. I will need to change the rear soon, but mechanically its sound. It does have a little shroud rash on both sides, but that doesn't concern me too much.

Need to do the doo, the bob, the "T" and every other known farkle.
