Hi

I am new to this forum so forgive me if this is not the right place to list/ask this question,

I have a 1980 KL250, it is the 6v model.
There is a 21119-1006 cdi on it and I need to check the wiring is correct as the bike currently has no spark, so i am trying to work my way through solving this problem
there are 6 wires on the cdi unit

Red
Red/Black
Black
Orange
Green (on bullett type connector with orange)
Yellow/Black

Can anyone tell me the correct wiring sequence on this unit as hours of trawling the internet hasn't paid off and I am desperate to get my bike sorted.

I hope someone may be able to help
Many thanks
Shaun

Green and Orange ought to go to the pick-up coil.

Black/Yellow is ground.

Red should go to the magneto. Coming out of the magneto should be a Red and a Black, and two Yellows.

Black goes to the ignition coil.

Black/Red goes to the ignition switch. The switch connects the Black/Red to the Black/White, if you need to hotwire it.
