Not trying to make money off this, just thought since the GS's and Strom's have their cool stencil/adventure decals we should, too.

If there's a lot of interested people I can order up a bunch and we can collectively save money, or I'm more than willing to give out the design file for anyone to take to their local print shop.

The design is set up for a vinyl cut out, which means if you have a vinyl plotter or know someone that does you can "print" this on any color vinyl you want. I was going to get mine made in 3M reflective material.

 

This makes 15 posts, now I can unlock the links and images feature. (I hope)

 

These are just Photoshop mockups. No decals have been made yet. The top photo is my bike. Bottom is obviously just a stock image.

 

I think it would look better if the decal were red.

Roughly what would they cost? I'm interested as I removed my decals (with a pressure washer initially) your decals look sharp!

 

Still looking for an online printer. My local shop quoted me $50 for two (one for each side). They explained that $50 was their minimum charge so I'm asking for another quote for 100 stickers right now. I'll keep you posted on what I find.

 

So my local printer never got back to me and I haven't seen much interest in doing a bulk print, so I'll just leave the printer file in eps format here so anyone can download it and either take it to your local print shop of choice or find a place online.

This place seems to have decent prices for low quantities (I'm not affiliated with them at all), but there are tons of them out there.

Not selling decals, its yours to keep and do what you want with it. I take no responsibility for placement or quality because your results may vary.

Sure, why not. Here is the print shop friendly eps file you can download from my DropBox at 3.25" x 1". Hopefully this size will work for most helmet shapes. I didnt want to make it too big because the curve of the helmet could cause bubbles in the decal.

Most people will not be able to open this type of file because you wont have the design software, but you can save it to your computer and insert it in Microsoft Word document to see what it looks like (exactly the same as the samples above just smaller).

Again, this is free for anyone here to use for your own purposes, but please do not steal my design and distribute it in any way to make money for yourself (unless you plan on sharing :c0125

 

I got the black '09 and removed every decal n' blacked out the rest

In a mixture of flat, satin, gloss, and left all the silver fasteners for some
contrast the batcycle was born. Hadda dude ask me yesterday if it was a Beemer. LOL

That got me thinking of the BMW styled KLR sticker tho.

Looking at this thread for the first time. Friends have KLR's and I have only road one once, put the miles 6 -10 on it. Getting away from W8.1 and Linux Mint Mate opened the eps file ... YAY Will have to see if I can open one of Tom S.'s files ... if i can find it. Mike

A hair dryer or heat gun should loosen them up. Just warm ahead as you peel.

I had mine printed and installed at a local detail shop today.

To use a cliche, pictures don't really do it justice.

Anyway, my price...installed...was only $40 for both. They removed the Kawasaki green stripe from the rear side panels for no additional charge. Eliminating the green and applying these decals makes my bike look 100% better, IMO.

I asked, and the shop was willing to entertain individual orders. Please contact me via PM if you're interested.

Try sending a message to both the original poster and the other person who used the file. They both haven’t been on here for a few years but a message might activate an email alert.

I'm going to put it on a t-shirt.

 

The file in post #10 is an EPS. It is a scalable file meaning you can use it to print any size from pinhead to billboard with no loss of resolution. The creator set the default view size to a few inches across for some convenience.

I used the file to create a t-shirt. The design is 12 inches wide and looks perfect.

Had the original decal redone by a local shop to fit panniers.
I tried to attach the (eps format) files but could not. Error message "does not have an allowed extension".
