After putting 3700 mostly commute miles on the 08, I needed new tires. I read almost every post I could concerning tire selections for street. I dont really want to be replacing these every 3500 or so. I opted for the Kenda 761 in front and rear. I just installed the wheels and was surprised with the feeling of the tires. The stockers seemed to turn in very well and the Kenda's seem to resist turning in. I have to put more handlebar pressure in to keep the bike turned. I am sure I will get the hang of it, but for now, it is very strange feeling. I attribute this to the possibility of me getting used to riding from a bald strip to going on edge on the stockers vs. always having rubber under me with these. They are a good looking tire with the deep street tread. I did run just a couple minutes in loose grassy dirt. They are definately not meant to be an offroad tire unless you appreciate the feeling of floating (not much grip) and steering with the throttle.

Anyway, I hope this helps anyone who is trying to decide on these. Once I get a few hundred miles on them, I will update the post.

i too just mounted a set of kenda 761 on my 08 . i know what you mean about the steering. it takes more pressue to go into a turn. :mad0235: but i am sure that we will get used to it. to me the biggest thing was how the rear tire felt on the street. i inflated to 30 psi, and on the highway, it feels like the rear tire is flat. i know everything is tight as far as the wheel mounting is concerned. did you feel this at all? thanx:35a:

I have a K-761 on the back, still running the stock front (5600 mi) So far it's been good but not great. I went to a lake approx 40 mi away today and then went on some double and single track dirt roads while there. The tire was just fine on the asphalt but slipped a bit in the dirt. I don't usually go single track and this is NOT the tire for that. But, if the dirt was firm it had traction, loose stuff is NOT what this tire was made for, atleast not when inflated to 30 psi (shoulda aired 'em down). I'll being putting one on the front when I replace it in about 1,000 mi or so (that will take about 1 month)
