HI Everyone
I have had my 2008 KLR for 8 years now and have been all over this web site finding all sorts of good information for customizing and upgrading my bike. What a great forum.

I installed the JNS lowered pegs due to my long legs and bad knees, and I could not find a good solution for lowering the brake pedal. So I came up with an idea to lower the entire brake mechanism including the master cylinder. It is a very simple metal bracket with 4 holes drilled into it. The metal is 5/32". I had to add a small extension to the spring controlling the brake light.

If you Loosen the nut above the clevis, then remove the cotter pin & attachment pin, you can still 'Fine-Tune' your brake pedal Height!

Great job & Welcome to the forum!!

Yes, I had already adjusted the lever down to accommodate the lowered pegs. I may adjust it up again. I have not test ridden it yet but the bracket also moved the lever out to miss the engine guards.

This was easier than trying to find a Gen1 brake lever on E-bay.
