Radiator block off

Up here in the North west corner of the state's the temperature is getting into the low 40s. This is my first year on my klr and my bike is running super cold with the temp needle just above the cold mark at any speed over 25. The idea I have is to decrease airflow through the radiator. Maybe a strip of duct tape to cover half or a cloth over the whole thing to slow down the air flow.

With the stock system in sub 40f conditions one could almost cover the entire radiator at highways speeds and the air around the engine block & crankcase would almost be enough radiant area.
The KLR engine is one Giant aluminum Heat Sink!

I will also endorse the use of a Thermo-Bob at your earliest opportunity. Get the temp needle into the middle of gauge scale.

Probably get away with half of it covered on your average Midwestern July day too. Even in the mid 80's, uncovered, mine runs well below halfway up the scale. Usually sits about 1/4" over the cold mark running down the road.
